By now you’re likely familiar with lip sync battles — a featured segment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon which has spun-off into its own Spike TV show. The basic idea is that celebrities try to one-up each other by “performing” to songs that play in the background. While song selection, choreography, and accuracy play a big part in winning this game, Melissa McCarthy just proved that some wacky props and fearless commitment to a bit can go a long way as well.
On last night’s Tonight Show, the actress took on host Fallon in a battle. For her second and final number, McCarthy chose the classic Disney tune “Colors of the Wind” from Pocahontas. Without giving away too much, it was clear she had a very literal interpretation of the song’s lyrics. Take a look:

This rendition earned the actress a well-deserved standing ovation from the audience… and likely some ticket sales for her new movie. Bravo, Ms McCarthy.
