For the last 27 years, The Simpsons have been a mainstay in pop culture. As far as animation goes, their impact is arguably second only to Disney. Thus, it was only a matter of time before a Disney animator left their mark on the long-running show.
This Sunday, animator Eric Goldberg’s take on the program’s famous couch gags will air on Fox. Goldberg has a long history with both Disney and the animation medium in general having directed Pocahontas as well as working on films like Aladdin, Fantasia 2000 and the upcoming Moana.
For his guest couch gag spot, Goldberg includes plenty of nods to his frequent employer and reimagines Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart, and Maggie as part of some of Disney’s most famous creations. Take a look:

This isn’t the first time everyone’s favorite yellow family has referenced Disney. Not only have the writers made jokes about Disney films and parks over the years but the Simpsons’ Ride in Universal Studios also pokes fun at some classic Disney attractions.
So what do you think of this parody/tribute to the world of Disney? Will you be watching The Simpsons this Sunday? I’ll be watching from right here in Springfield.
