Instagram User Shares What Could Potentially Be Our First Look at “Frozen 2”

Instagram may not always be the best source for Disney news, but when it comes to Frozen, fans will take just about anything they can get. Comicbook.com has reported that Instagram user chocolatiey recently shared what she claims is a first look at Disney’s upcoming sequel, Frozen 2. And don’t worry, it’s not just another Rickroll.

The social media post supposedly depicts a Russian calendar featuring art from the upcoming sequel. The art finds Elsa and Anna sporting their new looks as red and orange leaves blow around them, teasing an autumn setting.

Of course, with no official source tied to this image, there is reason to doubt just how real it is (you can’t believe everything you see on the internet, after all). However, Comicbook also points out that last year we got a similar first look from the same product.

Last winter, the calendar gave us a first look at Solo: A Star Wars Story. That’s not to say that this look at Frozen 2 is certainly legitimate, but at least it’s a little bit of evidence providing hope that it is.

Aside from this potential first look, we still don’t know very much about Frozen 2. We know Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff are all set to reprise their roles as Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Kristoff respectively and Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown are reportedly in talks to lend their voices to the new film as well. We don’t however, have any details on the plot of the new film. Perhaps another Russian calendar will enlighten us soon.

Ever since Frozen was released in 2013 and earned nearly $1.3 billion worldwide and took home Academy Awards for ‘Best Animated Feature Film’ and ‘Best Original Song’ (“Let It Go”), fans have been clamoring for a sequel. On November 22, 2019, they’ll get their wish.
