Anthony Mackie to Invite Drivers to “Start Their Engines” at the Daytona 500 Next Weekend
This is just the latest way that the Captain America actor is promoting the debut of “Captain America: Brave New World.”
Captain America himself, Anthony Mackie, will be making an appearance at the kickoff of the Daytona 500 next weekend.
What’s Happening:
- ESPN reports that the “Great American Race" will be getting an extra dose of Americana with the appearance of Captain America.
- Anthony Mackie will give the command for drivers to start their engines on Sunday, February 16th at the kickoff of the Daytona 500.
- Coverage of the Daytona 500 is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. ET on Fox, so Mackie’s appearance will likely come shortly thereafter.
- This follows the opening of the latest installment in the Marvel franchise, Captain America: Brave New World, which comes to theaters this Friday.
- Mackie and other stars and creatives behind the film recently paid a visit to Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada to celebrate the film in a high-flying manner.
