The Ash Village, a New Locale in “Avatar: Fire and Ash” is Revealed
After visiting two different locales on Pandora in the prior to films, a new barren landscape is set to take center stage.
Empire is continuing its “Path to Pandora" series with another piece of concept art from Avatar: Fire and Ash.
What’s Happening:
- Following the look at the new character Peylak from the upcoming third Avatar film, Empire has shared a look at the desolate “Ash Village" that takes centerstage in the new movie.
- The Mangkwan Clan calls the Ash Village home, where the intense colors we’ve come to expect from the Avatar films are nowhere to be found.
- Interviewed in the article, production designer Dylan Cole shared how a natural disaster hit the clan, helping to shape their culture and surroundings. However, the symbiotic relationship the Na’vi have with the land still remains strong, even if the land is bleaker than most.
- The Ash Village is ruled over by Varang, played by Oona Chaplin. Her Nightwraith adds another sense of danger and intrigue to this ravaged land.
- Avatar: Fire and Ash hits theaters on December 19th, 2025.
