First Look at Imagineer-Designed Merch for Mickey’s of Glendale at D23

The Imagineering merchandise location is returning to this year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. The fan-favorite booth showcases items inspired by the incredible talent and hard work of Disney Imagineers.

What’s Happening:

  • Disney Parks Blog has shared a first look at Mickey’s of Glendale coming to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
  • The booth will showcase exclusive event merchandise inspired by Disney Characters and iconic theme park attractions.
  • This year, guests will be treated to a collection inspired by The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Featuring Sorcerer Mickey, items take inspiration from the comic book world of the Walt Disney creation. Imagineers have combined the vibrancy and fun of the classic comic into modern products.

  • Mickey’s of Glendale will also show off their Imagineer Spotlight Collection. The collection features designs by seven Imagineers who took their inspiration from some of Disney Parks’ biggest and most awe inspiring projects.
  • The post previewed one of the available designs by Lead Concept Designer Mike Quinn. The Imagineer drew his inspiration from his recent work on Tokyo Disney Sea’s Fantasy Springs.
  • “The opportunity to play a part in the creation of Fantasy Springs has been a highlight of my Imagineering journey,” shared Mike. “The enchantment and delight of this captivating new port provide the inspiration for this collection.”

  • For fans of The Muppets, Producer Dani Iglesias has designed exclusive artwork celebrating the studio’s 70th anniversary. One item includes a tribute to The Muppet Movie.

  • Iglesias has spent over 15 years with The Walt Disney Company. After working many roles throughout Walt Disney World, she joined Imagineering in 2018. She contributed to design strategy for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the Society of Explorers and Adventurers. Later, she found herself as a Producer at The Muppets Studio where she leads creative efforts for merchandise, illustration, character and brand position, and new project developments.
  • Make sure you don’t miss picking up Imagineer-designed merch at Mickey’s of Glendale at D23 this weekend.
