The Stars of “Daredevil: Born Again” Discuss Returning to Their Characters for New Disney+ Series

Two new featurettes dive into the return of Daredevil in the highly anticipated sequel series.

Two new featurettes have been released to get Marvel fans excited for the return of Daredevil and his cohorts in the highly anticipated Daredevil: Born Again.

What’s Happening:

The cast of Daredevil: Born Again – Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock), Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) and Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) – sat down to discuss their return to the franchise in a new three minute featurette.
Cox notes the idea of bringing the arch-enemies of Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk together early on in the series, before a climatic rematch towards the end.
We get some insight into the creation of the duo’s tense meeting in a diner, some of which has been released in the form of a clip (which you can watch below).

Ann Woll and Henson discuss the challenges of coming back to their characters after a five year break from playing them.
Cox and D’Onofrio discuss some of their own personal traits that they’ve imbued into their characters.

A second, shorter featurette begins as Cox notes that it’s been almost 10 years since his journey with Daredevil began.
Executive producer Brad Winderbaum talks about how the original Daredevil show served as a source of inspiration for the sequel series.
Another executive producer, Sana Amanat, notes “that there is such a richness to the story that has already been told, that we didn’t want to run away from. We just wanted to expand on it."
The featurette takes special care to note that this isn’t a lighter or friendlier version of the show – it’s very much a continuation of the dark story told in the original series.
