Disney+ Exclusive Live Sports Studio Shows Coming Later This Year, Including “SC+”
The first announced project is a daily “SportsCenter” show called “SC+"
During Disney’s quarterly earnings announcement yesterday, it was revealed that a daily SportsCenter show will be coming to Disney+.
What’s Happening:
- Yesterday, The Walt Disney Company discussed its first quarter fiscal year 2025 earnings with investors during a live call.
- During the call, the introduction of an ESPN tile to Disney+ was discussed – which provides bundle subscribers access to the full range of ESPN+ sports content, while also making select ESPN content available to all Disney+ subscribers.
- In executive statements released alongside the earnings, they revealed new Disney+ exclusive live sports studio shows will be coming later this year, including a daily SportsCenter show called SC+.
- No additional details regarding SC+, or any of the other forthcoming content, have been revealed at this time.
- However, this fall will also see the launch of ESPN's full suite of networks direct-to-consumer, which will also be made available on Disney+.
