Hit Series “High Potential” Renewed for Second Season at ABC
The network must see a lot of ... eh, that's too easy.
Fans can buckle up for even more High Potential in 2025-26 as ABC has ordered a second season of their new hit series.
What’s Happening:
- ABC has renewed their hit series High Potential for a second season, news that followed shortly after their renewal announcement for a fifth season of Abbott Elementary.
- High Potential, which follows Morgan (played by Kaitlin Olson), a single mom who has an uncanny ability to solve crimes, is currently the most streamed entertainment show when it comes to total viewers, with the September 17th premiere reaching nearly 30 million viewers across all platforms.
- The show left viewers hanging on after a tense fall finale, with the January 7th show becoming the show’s highest rated episode ever among total viewers and in the key broadcast demo - adults 18-49.
- The episode also ranks as ABC’s biggest total audience for a drama in over four years.
- Written by Drew Goddard (The Good Place, The Martian) and starring Kaitlin Olson, High Potential follows a single mom with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective (Daniel Sunjata). Based on the popular French series Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI), High Potential stars Kaitlin Olson as Morgan, Daniel Sunjata as Karadec, Javicia Leslie as Daphne, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev “Oz" Ozdil, Amirah J as Ava, Matthew Lamb as Elliot and Judy Reyes as Selena.
- Story details for the second season and a season two premiere date are unknown at this time.
- To catch up with High Potential thus far, episodes debut on Hulu after they air on ABC.
