The dog whisperer is back to celebrate 140 dog years on television with a new season of his hit National Geographic show. The 12-episode 5th Season will premiere next week.
What’s Happening:
- National Geographic has shared new information about Season 5 of CÉSAR MILLÁN: BETTER HUMAN BETTER DOG.
- The new season, which premieres on August 16th at 8/7 on Nat Geo, showcases the famous dog whisperer as he helps families fix behavioral issues with their K-9 companions.
- The new season also kicks off Millan’s 20th year on TV. DOG WHISPERER WITH CÉSAR MILLÁN premiered on Nat Geo back in 2004.
- Millan will take on some of the toughest cases of his career in the new season. It will also showcase the behavioral expert matching aspiring pet owners with the perfect pups.

- A FIRST FOR CÉSAR – Premieres August 16th at 8pm
- Millan will take on an overexcited white boxer named Brunello, who has an aggressive reaction to bags.
- PICKING THE PERFECT POOCH – Premieres August 16th at 9pm
- A school teacher needs Millan’s help to tame her poorly behaved pooch, Millie. Romana will search for a perfect pup for her son, Roman.
- FOIL FRENZY – Premieres August 16th at 10pm
- A sheepdog acts out whenever his parents use tin foil and trash bags. Milan will help a family whose golden retriever charges at dogs.
- PROTECTION VS. AFFECTION – Premieres August 23rd at 8pm
- Cesar helps an overprotective dog who is on the edge from her mom’s past trauma and an overexcited puppy whose pet parents lack the skills to train.
- LIFE SAVING MATCH – Premieres August 23rd at 9pm
- Millan will match a dog with a new owner recovering from an accident and help another family with a fence guarding dog.
- EXPLOSIVE SHEPHERDS – Premieres August 23rd at 10pm
- Thunder and Rain, two 4-year-old shepherds, will need Cesar to help tame their energy. He will also deal with another dog, Milo, to get him to stop biting.
- DON’T BLAME THE BREED – Premieres August 30th at 8pm
- An owner accidentally trains her pit bull to attack cleaning objects. Millan will have to train both the dog and the owner, whose affection is affecting the corrections.
- ADOPTION PLAYBOOK – Premieres August 30th at 9pm
- Millan will help an active couple find the perfect pooch and he will help a football coach with his anxious rescue dog.
- LOVE BITES – Premieres August 30th at 10pm
- Dilly, an aggressive chihuahua, is affecting his owner Kim’s romantic life. Cesar will step in to help.
- RELEASE THE BEAST – Premieres September 6th at 8pm
- Cesar will help a family regain trust in their rottweiler. He will also help a pet mom whose aggressive pom-terrier is affecting her social life.
- THE GORILLA WITHIN – Premieres September 6th at 9pm
- Millan will train a laid-back pet dad to control his Irish setter that has bitten three family members.
- WHEN PANIC ATTACKS – Premieres September 6th at 10pm
- Millan will help a mom with an overprotective Great Dane mix and a couple with a fetch-obsessed and overexcitable dog.
