Explore the Legacy and Future of “Snow White” in New Featurette
The new featurette promotes the live-action of “Snow White” while celebrating the storied history of the animated classic.
We’ve had plenty of live-action adaptations of classic Disney animated features before, but as Disney’s original animated feature, Snow White will be something special. In that vein, Disney has shared a new featurette touting the legacy of the film.
What’s Happening:
- The newly released featurette includes interviews with cast and filmmakers, behind-the-scenes footage, and clips from the 1937 animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
- As director Marc Webb so aptly says, “the original Snow White didn’t break the mold. It created the mold." The world of animation transforms into live-action before our eyes in this featurette.
- The cast talks about the legacy of Snow White and the new adaptation, and we hear from stars Rachel Zegler (Snow White) and Gal Gadot (Evil Queen).
- Costume designer Sandy Powell also shares details about some of the costume pieces in the film, including the Evil Queen’s crown – which is heavily inspired by that seen in the animated classic.
- Watch the featurette for yourself below.
What They’re Saying:
- Director Marc Webb: “I am so excited for audiences and fans around the world to see this sneak peek and to revisit the magical world of Snow White. Our goal has always been to honor the original animated film, and we are extremely grateful to the team of amazing artists – from puppeteers to voice actors and motion capture technicians – for bringing these magical, charming characters to life in such a unique way."
