Cosmetics Inspired by “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” Swing into “Marvel Rivals”

“Balance is a process. Not a destination.”

As Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 finally swings onto PC today, Marvel Rivals has released a new costume celebrating Peter Parker’s appearance in the game.

What’s Happening:

  • A new Spider-Man costume has arrived on the hit player vs player game Marvel Rivals.
  • Inspired by the character’s appearance in the hit PlayStation 5 video game Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the suit releases alongside the official PC release of the superhero sequel.
  • For 1400 Units (about $14), the bundle includes 4 separate items that players of Marvel Rivals can use in-game.
  • First up, we have the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 costume. Quoting the character’s appearance in the game, the costume description states “Balance is a process. Not a destination.”

  • Next up we have the Once Bonded, Twice Shy emote. Showcasing Peter kicking off a symbiote, the hilarious emote references Venom’s appearance in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

  • For those looking to represent Spider-Man’s appearance in the game on their Marvel Rivals profile, the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 nameplate is a perfect way to show other players your love for the web-slinging hero. Behind Peter, a silhouette of his Mechanical Arms can be seen, along with the visual “spidey sense” indicator from the game.

  • Finally, for those looking to leave their mark during games, a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 spray will allow players to graffiti a likeness of the character wherever they please.

  • The Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 cosmetics are available now in Marvel Rivals in-game shop.
  • Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play PvP game available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.
  • For Marvel Rivals players on PC, now is the time to grab your copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
  • In the third entry into the Spider-Man video game series, Peter Parker and Miles Morales team up to take down various Spider-Man villains, including Kraven, SandMan, and Venom.
  • Developed and optimized for PC by Nixxes Software in collaboration with Insomniac Games, PlayStation, and Marvel Games, the sequel’s arrival on PC brings brand new graphics features.
  • Over on PlayStation Blog, they shared that additional ray-tracing options with quality settings will allow PC gamers to finetune their New York adventures for both performance and graphic quality.
  • Unlike the PlayStation 5, PC gamers use a variety of different hardware components that affect gameplay functionality, and these new features allow those with superpowered PCs to take full advantage of the gorgeously designed game.
  • Menno Bil, a Graphics Programmer at Nixxes, shared “In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC with ray reconstruction enabled, we see more detailed ray-traced reflections and better-defined ray-traced shadows, especially when viewing ray-tracing effects at steep angles. We also see improvements in the ray-traced interiors and less ghosting and noise in the ray-traced ambient occlusion.”
  • Additionally, gamers with ultra-wide monitors with aspect ratios like 21:9, 32:9, and even 48:9, can take full advantage of their massive monitors while swinging with Peter and Miles. Cinematics in Spider-Man 2 are fully viewable in aspect ratios up to 32:9.

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is available now on Steam and the Epic Games store.
