Marvel Comics Reveals Storm’s New Vibranium Armor

Plus, check out the upcoming titles for the next five issues of "Storm."

Last October, Ororo Monroe embarked on a new ongoing adventure from Marvel Comics. In the upcoming 6th issue, Storm will debut brand new armor made of Vibranium.

What’s Happening:

  • Marvel Comics has unveiled a first look at Storm’s upcoming armor overhaul.
  • Debuting in Storm #6, Earth’s Mightiest Mutant will debut a new look that will see the fan-favorite X-Men character adorned in Vibranium.
  • Written by Murewa Ayodele and illustrated by Luciano Vecchio, Storm’s current adventures have given readers an electrifying and action packed series of adventures. The new armor, designed by Vecchio, is an indication that the more intense and dramatic moments and conflicts are on the horizon, including tie-ins to One World Under Doom and Ororo Monroe’s transformation into Eternal Storm.
  • Part of the X-Manhunt crossover, Storm will need the new armor to tap into her power as she faces off against her fellow X-Men to defend Professor X.
  • Speaking about the new armor design, Vecchio shared “The inspiration for the Vibranium Armor is mainly Ororo’s time as Queen of Wakanda. A Dora Milaje armor base design with a recurrent shape motif of Ororo’s crown as part of the weapon handle and capes. Also a bit of Marvel Rivals vibes, with bulky accents.”
  • In addition to Storm’s new armor, Marvel Comics has revealed the titles of the next 5 issues of Storm’s ongoing series.

  • Storm #6 hits comic book stores on March 5th and is available to preorder today.
