The Walt Disney Family Museum is participating in a free event to celebrate the history and contributions of women in California, highlighting Disney artist Mary Blair.
What’s Happening:
- The Walt Disney Family Museum has announced on X that they will be participating in California State Parks’ March 1’s Women’s History Month celebration.
- The free event invites attendees to the Sonoma State Historic Park’s Barracks for a day of celebrating the undeniable contributions women have made to the state.
- Part of the event includes a Women’s History Crawl, which will feature 21 stations highlighting different important women and their achievements.
- The Walt Disney Family Museum’s station is set to highlight Mary Blair, the iconic artist responsible for some of Disney’s most iconic work, including concept art for films like Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and Cinderella as well as Disney Parks projects like “it’s a small world" and the enormous mosaic inside the Contemporary.
