It’s been nearly 30 years since Disneyland began inviting guests into the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. For the first installment of their Spotlight Series, join D23 at Disney’s Glendale Creative Campus this February to hear from Imagineers as they discuss the history of Indiana Jones Adventure.
What’s Happening:
- On February 22, D23 invites D23 Gold Members to jump in their personal troop transports and head to Disney’s Glendale Creative Campus for a look back at Disneyland’s classic attraction Indiana Jones Adventure.
- Just ahead of the thrill ride’s 30th anniversary, the first entry into the D23 Spotlight Series will invite ticket holders to watch a panel of current and former Imagineers as they highlight the attraction’s history as well as its variation at Tokyo DisneySea.
- The panel includes Walt Disney Imagineer Daniel Jue, former Imagineer Susan Bonds and more.
- In addition to the exclusive panel experience, the event includes:
- A walkthrough experience of Walt Disney Imagineering.
- Shopping at Imagineering’s Mickey’s of Glendale store.
- A D23 commemorative event gift.
- The opportunity to purchase a special themed Starbucks drink.
- Entry into the Visitor Center of the Grand Central Air Terminal, which hosts historical exhibits curated by Walt Disney Imagineering.
- Tickets run for $29 per ticket. D23 Gold Members can purchase a ticket for themselves and one guest for the event. All attendees must be at least 8 years old to attend.
- Two time slots for the event are available with one from 9AM-1PM and another from 10AM-2PM.
- Guests attending the 9AM-1PM time slot will begin their day with access to the campus’ greenspace and assigned times for shopping at Mickey’s of Glendale as well as their guided tour of Imagineering. Then at 11:30, they will head to the Grand Central Air Terminal for the D23 Spotlight Series presentation.
- Those who choose the 10AM-2PM experience will begin their day with the D23 Spotlight series presentation with shopping and tours happening from 11:30AM-2PM.
- While not confirmed, it will be interesting to see if any information around Animal Kingdom’s upcoming Dinosaur re-theme will be shared. The new Indiana Jones attraction is expected to have a different storyline than the two existing Indiana Jones EMV attractions.
- Indiana Jones Adventure officially celebrates its 30th birthday on March 4th.
- Tickets for the February 22 event go on sale January 31st at 10AM PT/1PM ET.
