Disneyland Paris Shares Look at Revitalized “it’s a small world” After Refurb

The Creative Costuming team has worked to refresh the costumes, bringing them back to their opening day glory.

Disneyland Paris is revitalizing “it’s a small world” with a costume refresh for the beloved attraction.

What’s Happening:

  • Since January 20th “it’s a small world” at Disneyland Paris has been under refurbishment, but when the attraction reopens tomorrow guests will notice brand new costumes and wigs for the children of the world.

  • The goal of the Imagineering team was to recreate the opening day costumes when it opened back in 1992.
  • Over the past three years, Imagineers worked on replicating these debut costumes through color-matching, fabric recreation, and wig building.

  • A team of 13 dressmakers, wigmakers, and milliners helped create over sixty items of clothes for the small world dolls for this refurbishment period, however the work doesn’t stop, as the Creative Costuming team is working to replace the costumes for the entire attraction to bring it back to its opening day glory.
