EPCOT Changes Early Entry Procedures as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Begins Offering a Standby Queue
Terrans will need to take note of these changes when visiting EPCOT or the Wonders of Xandar Pavilion.
While Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind officially began offering a standby line at EPCOT today, another operational change occurred in regards to hotel guests with Early Entry.
What’s Happening:
- Today, EPCOT has modified their Early Entry procedures for hotel guests.
- As guests pour into the park prior to opening, hotel guests with the perk are now required to enter into the park on the right side of Spaceship Earth towards World Nature with regular day guests waiting for park opening on the left.
- The change comes as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind officially ends its Boarding Pass system, which now allows guests to enter the queue as many times as they would like.
- The attraction is also open for Early Entry guests.
- It is safe to assume the change comes for more efficient guest flow as the majority are expected to head to the park’s most popular attraction.
- Instead of having a large crowd of people move all the way across World Celebration, this has a more direct path to the Universe of Energy replacement.
- Walt Disney World has been using a virtual queue system for the roller coaster since its opening in 2023. It held the system longer than any other attraction in the resort, mostly due to its limited indoor queuing area.
- Today, the queue for the attraction started out pretty congested, but, by midday, the coaster was sitting around a 60 minute wait with all queued guests inside the show building.
- It’ll be interesting to see how crowds look as Spring Break season approaches. For now, enjoy the opportunity to marathon Cosmic Rewind.
