SXSW Promises New Episode of “We Call it Imagineering” To Debut Next Week

This is the first new episode of the webseries in nearly a year.

After nearly a year, another episode of the fan-favorite webseries, We Call it Imagineering, is set to debut early next week on the Walt Disney Imagineering YouTube channel.

What’s Happening:

  • Earlier today as part of a special presentation at this year’s SXSW festival, it was revealed that there is a third episode of Walt Disney Imagineering’s popular webseries, We Call it Imagineering, on its way.
  • This marks the first new episode in almost a year for the webseries, which last saw episode two celebrate the music of Disney attractions with a heavy emphasis on the then-soon-to-open Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World.
  • Prior to that, the first episode of the series (which debuted a month earlier) celebrated Disney’s long history of Audio-Animatronics, with a heavy emphasis on the then-soon-to-open Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World.
  • In the new episode, Imagineering promises to pull back the curtain and take viewers behind the scenes of the Ride Studio.
  • What’s the Ride Studio? Great question — it’s the birthplace of many vehicles that were teased and shown at the aforementioned SXSW presentation in a space dedicated to design and engineering.
  • The episode also promises to take a deeper dive into the evolution of some of the most beloved attractions, from Haunted Mansion to the upcoming updates to Smuggler’s Run!
  • Catch the brand-new episode this Monday, March 10th, only on the Walt Disney Imagineering YouTube channel.
