Photos: Pixar Putt Brings Mini Golf Fun to the Pixar Place Hotel

The traveling putt putt experience just finished a successful run in Long Beach, CA.

The popular pop-up minigolf experience Pixar Putt has arrived at Disneyland Resort’s Pixar Place Hotel. Open now for a limited engagement, let’s take a look at the animation-inspired course.

Inspired by some of Pixar’s most iconic films, Pixar Putt, a traveling mini-golf experience, has landed at Disneyland Resort’s Pixar Place Hotel. Coming off of a sell out engagement in Washington D.C., a celebratory set at last year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and an on par set in Long Beach, the 18-hole course now invites guests visiting Disney’s California resort to join in on the putt putt fun. Upon entering the Pixar Putt experience, guests are welcomed with themed signage and a Pizza Planet themed golf cart.

As you approach the ballroom, Inside Out 2 themed decorations stand next to a station to pick up balls, scoring cards, and putters. A sign clarifying scoring rules also sits next to the entrance of the ballroom.

Inside the ballroom, themed lighting really sets the mood for this exciting experience.

Let’s take a look around the themed course:

Hole 1: Monsters Inc.

For this par 3 hole, you’ll have to traverse through two different closet doors and over a jump to score.

Hole 2: Elemental

With two starting points on this par 2, choose fire or water as you try to score where the elements meet. Look closely and you’ll see Ember and Wade standing above the hole.

Hole 3: Turning Red

It’s time to head to the 4*Town concert! Aim your ball underneath Mei’s red panda form to get to the SkyDome in this par 2 challenge.

Hole 4: WALL-E

On this par 3, players can choose from two different routes to get to the Buy n Large flag. First, you can head up the ramp to the hole with the plant growing out of it on the Eve shaped platform, which leads directly to the hole. You can also stay on the ground level and aim towards the heart that brings WALL-E and Eve together. Watch out for the giant fire extinguisher.

Hole 5: Toy Story

Inspired by the creepy Second Chance Antiques store from Toy Story 4, players will have to get around one of the Bensons. You can either take the hard route through the ventriloquist dummies mouth or head through one of the doorways on the side. This par 3 will definitely be a challenge.

Hole 6: Inside Out 2

This par 2 features a rotating ferris wheel of characters. You’ll need to aim for Joy, Anger, or Anxiety to land in one of the compartments that will lead you straight to headquarters and a hole in 1. If you miss, you might bounce back or head through to the other side, so timing will be your best friend on this hole.

Hole 7: Luca

Head up into Portorosso and back down to the sea in this par 2 hole. In Plinko fashion, you’ll need some luck to get a hole in one on this challenge.

Hole 8: The Incredibles

Players will need to head inside the Omnidroid, where they will be sent to one of two sides. Each side has a hole themed to one of the superheroes from the animated classic. You are aiming for a par 2 with the Parr family.

Hole 9: Ratatouille

Navigate through giant sized kitchen items, just like Remy. This par three even includes a giant block of cheese.

Hole 10: Finding Nemo

Travel across a dock to make it to the safety of Nigel the pelican’s mouth. You’ll wanna keep your score at 3 hits to stay on par.

Hole 11: Onward

Just like the characters from the film, to start this adventure, you’ll have to Guinevere. Once inside the van, you’ll head out the back and towards the Wilden’s Wizard Staff. To move onward at the correct pace, you’ll need to finish this hole in 2 hits.

Hole 12: Soul

For this par 3 hole, you’ll need to head down the giant piano and towards the uncovered manhole where Joe Gardener first died in the Pixar film.

Hole 13:  Toy Story

You’ll need to go to infinity and beyond on this Buzz Lightyear themed hole. Shoot for the stars and navigate a steep ramp that will take you to victory on this par 3 course.

Hole 14: A Bug’s Life

Shrink down to the size of Flik and avoid some supersized leaves and treasures as you travel towards the safety of the clovers. This hole is a par 3.

Hole 15: Coco

Travel down a large guitar and then across the Marigold Bridge to reach this hole. Don’t take more than 4 shots on this whole or your score might be lost in the Land of the Dead.

Hole 16: Cars

For this par 2, you’ll need to travel across Lightning McQueens iconic lightning bolt decal. Kachow!

Hole 17: Inside Out

Drop your ball into one of the memory shelves from the movie. Your ball could end up on a one way trip towards a hole in one or you might end up as a forgotten memory orb at the bottom. Try to keep your score at 2 or under on this one.

Hole 18: Up

Head into Carl’s floating home and travel all the way to Paradise Falls on this Up themed finale. To stay on course while you're on your adventure, keep your score under 4 for this hole.
