Raúl Castillo is set to join the cast of 20th Century Studios upcoming remake of 1992’s The Hand That Rocks the Cradle.

- Deadline exclusively reports that Smile 2’s Raúl Castillo has joined The Hand That Rocks the Cradle as a supporting character.
- The 20th Century Studios film, which is a remake of 1992’s hit psychological thriller, is set to star Maika Monroe (It Follows) and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Sky High, Final Destination 3).
- Castillo is set to take on the role of Matty McCoy, the husband of Claire Bartel (Winstead).
- In the film, Claire is pregnant with her second child when their new nanny Peyton (Monroe) begins concocting a plan to take over her life. After experiencing personal and professional ruin, Peyton’s ultimate goal is to take Claire’s place within her family.
- Michelle Garza Cervera is set to direct with a new script by Micah Bloomberg.
- Ted Field is set to produce through Radar Pictures.
