Photos: Construction Work Continues on Test Track 3.0’s New Canopy and Entrance Area

It's fun to be free!

A third version of Test Track is set to debut at EPCOT this summer! Let’s take a look at the construction progress of the upcoming reimagined attraction.

What’s Happening:

  • Laughing Place had the chance to check out the current construction at EPCOT’s Test Track reimagination.
  • Sponsored by Chevrolet, Test Track 3.0 is set to highlight humanity’s drive for a brighter tomorrow, showcasing the past, present, and future of the automotive industry.
  • Taking notes from the Test Track’s predecessor World of Motion, the thrill ride will also celebrate the technological advancements of transportation and how it connects us, while offering the thrill and excitement of driving.
  • While most of the work on Test Track is happening inside the show building, the outside of the attraction has seen major changes to previous iterations of the attraction.
  • While riding the monorail, we were able to take a peek behind the construction walls, where you can get a better look at the smaller canopy and groundwork for the round marquee set to be installed at the entrance.

  • Construction on the roof of the smaller, more intentional entrance covering was in full swing, with over a dozen workers on top.

  • Over by the attraction’s exit area, a large cherry-picker can be seen.

  • While we are still months away from seeing the new Test Track 3.0, it’s exciting to see the attraction’s facade take on a new life. Especially for those of us who had never seen the attraction without the large canopy that covered the beautifully designed World of Motion show building.
