Top 5 Tips for Visiting Disney World in the Next Few Months

Before embarking on that spring trip, here's what you need to know.

Spring is a popular time to visit Disney World with special events happening at the parks, kids out of school on break, and milder weather. Spring of 2025 is an especially good time to visit Disney World as it will be the last chance to experience some attractions that are permanently retiring to make way for new Disney World rides and experiences.

There are pros and cons to a spring visit and a few things to consider in your planning so you can make the most of your trip. We will break down everything you need to know when visiting Disney World in the spring and what you can look forward to this year!

1) Enjoy special events at Disney World in spring. There are some special events and holidays that happen during the spring at Disney World that you can enjoy, from the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival to St. Patrick’s Day and Easter.

  • The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival takes place from March 5 to June 2, 2025, featuring themed gardens and topiary displays celebrating Disney stories, food marketplace booths, the Garden Rocks concert series, and more. This year, there are several new offerings for the festival including a new Moana topiary display and more! Plus, don’t miss the concerts at EPCOT available during the festival.
  • If your trip is planned near St. Patrick’s Day at Disney World, make sure to check out the special foods offered for the holiday and other fun ways to celebrate the holiday like the annual Raglan Road Mighty St. Patrick's Day Festival at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant in Disney Springs.
  • You can enjoy special offerings during Easter at Disney World like the the Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt in EPCOT, special Easter Egg displays at the Disney World resort hotels, Easter-themed foods, and more!

2) Make sure you’re aware of refurbishments and closures happening. There are a few longer refurbishments happening at Disney World this year that extend into the spring, so make sure you keep up-to-date with any Disney World closures so you’re not caught off guard by these during your trip.

This year, there will also be some permanent closures to make way for new experiences coming to Disney World. Muppet*Vision 3D and It’s Tough to Be a Bug are both closing.

3) Take advantage of Disney World discounts offered in the spring. Booking the spring discounts offered for stays at the Disney Resort hotels can be a great way to save money. You can see all of the 2025 Disney World discounts and special offers currently available here.

4) Enjoy milder weather in the spring. One of the biggest advantages of visiting Disney World in the spring is that you can enjoy milder temperatures than what you’ll experience in the summer with hotter temperatures and rain. During the early spring months at Disney World, the weather will typically be warm during the day, though you will want to bring layers you can easily put on in case temperatures drop and for indoor spaces with air conditioning.

5) Know what to expect when it comes to crowd levels. With kids out of school on Spring Break, you can expect higher crowds from mid-March through most of April. You can see our Disney World crowd calendar for projected crowd levels by park during these spring months.

However, even if you’re visiting during a time with peak crowds, you can still enjoy a great trip by utilizing a solid touring strategy, booking dining reservations in advance, and effectively utilizing Lightning Lane Multi Pass to make the most of your time.
