Muppets, Boyz II Men, and More Revealed for World of Color Happiness! Debuting for Disneyland Resort’s 70th Anniversary Celebration

More details about World of Color Happiness! have been announced as the Disneyland Resort nears its 70th anniversary celebration.

On the heels of our own Tony Betti trying to discern what he could from the show’s concept art, new details have been announced for the upcoming World of Color Happiness!
This new World of Color presentation draws inspiration from Walt Disney's remarks made during the park's dedication ceremony seven decades ago: "To all who come to this happy place… welcome!"
According to Disney Parks Blog, this nighttime spectacular will explore the theme of happiness through a lively spectrum of emotions, led by Joy and the other Emotions from the celebrated Pixar Animation Studios films Inside Out and Inside Out 2.
Just announced, in addition to cherished Disney classics and popular songs, Boyz II Men perform a new rendition of “Rainbow Connection."
Speaking of the Muppets, guided by Joe the Legal Weasel, over a dozen Muppets will convey an opening message through vibrant projections and dynamic fountains in anticipation of the main show.
Back to music, FITZ (the frontman of the renowned group Fitz and the Tantrums) will debut a new original song titled “Makes Me Wanna Move," crafted specifically for World of Color.
Guests will also enjoy music and scenes from cherished Pixar stories like Turning Red and The Incredibles, as well as unforgettable narratives from Walt Disney Animation Studios, including Tangled, Encanto, and more. Plus, the beloved film A Goofy Movie will be featured in the show.
World of Color Happiness! will elevate Paradise Bay with a stunning showcase of iconic fountains, vivid lighting, colorful lasers, mist, and impressive flame effects, creating musical memories filled with the one-of-a-kind magic that only "World of Color" can provide.
Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration begins May 16th, 2025 and runs through summer 2026.
