We’re holding space for these performers just announced for this year’s Academy Awards ceremony, which include Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.
What’s Happening:
- Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are set to perform a highly rumored Wicked medley at the 97th Oscars. While the songs are not eligible for the Oscars due to originating from the stage musical, the film did garner 10 nominations – including Best Picture, Best Actress in a Leading Role for Cynthia Erivo and Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Ariana Grande.
- Other performers announced at this time include Doja Cat, LISA of Blackpink, Queen Latifah and RAYE. They’ll be participating in show-stopping performances celebrating the filmmaking community and some of its legends at the 97th Oscars.
- The show will also feature a special appearance by the Los Angeles Master Chorale.
