Oscars Host Conan O’Brien’s Golden Pompadour Featured in Key Art for 2025 Academy Awards Ceremony

This morning the key art was released for the upcoming 2025 Academy Awards ceremony, which will be hosted by popular comedian, podcaster, and former talk-show host Conan O’Brien.

What’s happening:

  • The Disney-owned ABC Network and Hulu streaming service have released key art for the 2025 Academy Awards ceremony.
  • This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Conan O’Brien, and the art featured his famous red pompadour hairstyle gilded over in Oscar gold.
  • Conan was the host of Late Night with Conan O’Brien on NBC from 1993 until 2009, The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien for seven months on NBC in 2009, and Conan on TBS from 2010 to 2021. His podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend has been a hit with listeners since 2018.
  • Other recent Oscar hosts have included Jimmy Kimmel, Chris Rock, Neil Patrick Harris, Ellen DeGeneres, Seth MacFarlane, and Billy Crystal. Fellow late-night talk-show host David Letterman hosted in 1995 to famously divisive results.
  • The 2025 Academy Awards will take place live on Sunday, March 2nd via ABC and Hulu.
