ESPN and the World Surf League Announce Coverage Expansion for the 2025 Championship Tour

The 2025 Championship Tour will begin on January 27 with the Lexus Pipe Pro, sponsored by YETI.

ESPN and the World Surf League have announced an expansion of their coverage for the 2025 Championship Tour, which will now be available on ESPN+ in the United States and on Disney+ in Latin America and the Caribbean.

What’s Happening:

  • ESPN and the World Surf League (WSL) have revealed an expanded rights agreement that will enable live coverage of the 2025 Championship Tour on ESPN+ in the United States and on Disney+ in Latin America, including Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and the Caribbean, while excluding Brazil, El Salvador, and Costa Rica.
  • This year, all twelve Championship Tour events, along with the Lexus US Open of Surfing Challenger Series, will be available for live streaming on these platforms.
  • Furthermore, the WSL's highlight show, WSL Inside Pro Surfing, will return to ESPN2 for the entire season and will also be available on demand via ESPN+ and Disney+.
  • The 2025 season marks the second year of a successful partnership aimed at reaching a broader audience and enhancing access to top-tier competitive surfing.
  • The Championship Tour of the WSL comprises 11 regular-season competitions along with the one-day WSL Finals, showcasing the top five ranked male and female surfers globally.
  • Throughout the season, fans will have complete access to view and stream WSL CT events.
  • The 2025 Championship Tour is scheduled to kick off on January 27 with the Lexus Pipe Pro Presented by YETI.
