Isabella Rossellini Joins the Cast of Ryan Murphy’s “The Beauty”

Rossellini will appear in the new FX series which explores a deadly STD that makes those infected beautiful.

Italian actress Isabella Rossellini has joined the cast of Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX series, The Beauty.

What’s Happening:

  • Variety reports that Isabella Rossellini is set for a recurring guest star role in FX’s The Beauty, which is currently in production.
  • Currently nominated for an Oscar for her role in Conclave, Rossellini is known for her many roles in films, such as Blue Velvet, Death Becomes Her and Incredibles 2.
  • Based on the comic books of the same name by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, The Beauty is co-created, written and executive produced by Murphy and Matt Hodgson.
  • The description for the comic series is as follows: “Modern society is obsessed with outward beauty. What if there was a way to guarantee you could become more and more beautiful every day? What if it was a sexually transmitted disease? In the world of The Beauty, physical perfection is attainable. The vast majority of the population has taken advantage of it, but Detectives Foster and Vaughn will soon discover it comes at a terrible price."
  • The 11-episode series will also star Evan Peters, Anthony Ramos, Jeremy Pope and Ashton Kutcher.
  • The series is produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television.
