Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters Dances Its Way into DCA

This past weekend, Luigi returned home after his extended vacation and even brought along some of his cousins to add a little Italian flair to Radiator Springs. The result is Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters, which replaces the Flying Tires attraction that resided in the spot from 2012 until last year.

This new attraction utilizes a trackless ride system which had previously only been employed overseas at the Tokyo Disney Resort and at Hong Kong Disneyland. With this technology, each ride — or dance, in this case ‚ is random and each car moves without drivers knowing just where it will go.

Take a look at the new ride in action:

That’s just one of many songs and dance patterns this attraction will offer. If you want to do them all, you’ll have to spend quite a bit of time in line.

Overall, Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters is a welcomed addition to Cars Land and Disney California Adventure. While it may not be an E ticket by any means, the promise that this ride technology brings is exciting and this application of it is just plain fun.

One downside that’s being discovered on a rare overcast day in Southern Calfornia today, like Mad Tea Party and other attractions, this ride does not operate in the rain. But, on the next sunny day, be sure to head to Disney California Adventure for a rollicking good time.
