The Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) will celebrate the start of its second quarter century with the CHOC Walk in the Park on Sunday, October 30th. Beginning at 6:00 a.m., participants walk three miles through Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and the Downtown Disney district. Along the way they may see several of the famous Disney characters cheering them on.
Related events have already taken place, with one more still available. The Taste of Downtown Disney fundraiser took place on August 11th. On October 5th the Minnie Walk, for CHOC patients who cannot attend the Walk in the Park was held. Saturday, October 29th the second Ambassador’s Luau will be held, this time outdoors on the Adventure Lawn of the Disneyland Hotel. Joining Mickey, Minnie and Goofy this year will be Stitch. Guests can register as Fundraising Bears and walk in the Park or as “Sleeping Bears,” allowing them to stay home the day of the event. A variety of prizes, including pins, badges and Disneyland Resort ticket media are available for different levels of participation. For full details, visit the official site at CHOCWalk.org.
