Cynthia Harriss: Well I think for two more minutes I get to say good morning. Welcome, welcome to the Disneyland Resort. This is absolutely, a perfect gorgeous Disneyland day. Dont you agree? Just a perfect day for celebration. Well, today we are very proud to celebrate the 47th birthday of Walt Disneys dream come true, Disneyland. On this day in 1955, Walt dedicated this happy place to the world. And when he was asked about this new creation he answered it very simply he said he created Disneyland to be a place where adults and children could come together to have fun, where they could experience some of the wonders and adventures of life and feel better as a result. Well almost 5 decades later the entire world still cherishes the magical place as an American tradition. Walt believed Disneyland truly was the essence of our great nation. He understood that nostalgia, ideals and dreams were woven into fabric of every American and no where else is Walts love of his country and its citizens more evident than right here on Main Street USA where the turn of the century buildings echo the promise of prosperity, family and new growth. The hopeful spirit of America echoes from every window and every doorway along this symbolic street. Well here were surrounded by the harmonious vision of community, generosity, creativity, and optimism that was born in hometowns across America. And here we stand beneath our nations flag waving proudly for all to see. And here we honor the dreams, and tremendous spirit that has risen above adversity to make America a home and all of her citizens a family.
