Explore the Artistry and Magic of Gardening Millennium Style At the 7th Annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

Spring is in full bloom and there is no better way to celebrate the new season than tiptoeing through the tulips -- and the more than 30 million other blooms at the seventh annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, April 28- June 11.

The festival is featured at Epcot, the center of the Walt Disney World Resort year-long Millennium Celebration.

Here are just some of the highlights garden enthusiasts of all ages can expect:

Disney Gardening at Home -- Special presentation by Disney horticulturists. Sunday-Thursday, 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Festival Center located on the walkway between Epcot Future World West and World Showcase.

• April 30-May 4: Accent Your Garden with Color -- neat ideas on how to use color
• May 7-May 11: Big Dreams, Small Gardens -- from tabletops to train gardens, secret tips
• May 14-May18: Who Wants to be a ‘Gardenaire’? -- a game show where you are the star
• May 21-May 25: Time Saving Tips for the Garden -- practical hints on gardening
• May 28-June 1: Just Add Water -- find out how you can make a big splash in the garden
• June 4-8 and June 11: Garden Fun -- fun and easy projects for all ages

Daily Demonstrations -- Disney horticulturists and invited guests will share their expertise continuously throughout the World Showcase Promenade. There are four demonstrations daily and times are posted at each location.

• The Art of Disney Topiary -- explore Disney’s most popular garden inhabitants
• Kids’ Garden -- this adventure takes you on a journey through an interactive garden
• Backyard Butterfly Garden -- tons of take-home ideas
• Plants for Health -- discover a variety of healthful plants and botanical remedies
• Lady Bug Release -- find out how much fun Integrated Pest Management can be
• Gardening for Food Around the World -- scientists showcase solutions to high food demand

Every Friday and Saturday at the Festival Center, located on the walkway between Epcot Future World West and World Showcase, Great American Gardeners features nationally recognized garden personalities offering information and helpful hints. This year find out how you can make a herbal dream pillow, discover the secrets to lasagna gardening and explore ways to stay fit through working in the garden.

You can also join Southern Living Magazine and the University of Florida as they share their knowledge on a variety of home gardening topics including: tree know how; gardening with children; and growing plants from seed. Topics are presented daily and change weekly.

Themed events and activities are planned on scheduled dates in April and May. Celebrate National Arbor Day with a special tree planting on April 28. Art in the Garden Weekend, May 5-7, will feature guest artists. The Mother’s Day Invitational Flower Show, May 12-14, includes special activities for "mom" on her special day. And Kids Weekend, June 9-11, features fun-filled activities for the children.
