Marc Borrelli's Land of the Rising Mickey column has received several comments over the past couple of months.

We are Aussies and have been to Tokyo Disneyland on 5 different vacations. We love it and have not understood why the Americans have not embraced it. We have also been to the USA 8 times with unlimted times to Disneyland and Walt Disney World. We also went to the opening of Disneyland Paris then Euro Disneyland, so we know what we are talking about when we say Tokyo Disneyland is one of the best.

Loved all your articles on Tokyo Disneyland. I think that one reason we in America seem to show very little interest is because the Disney Co has not really pushed it as a destination or given us more info on the park. There is very little about it in Disney publicity info. No openening festivities on TV, no Disney Sunday Movie shows. Even the Disney Mag runs only an occasional mention of the park. I worked for WDW when TD opened and even we were hard pressed to get info on the park. I have always found it interesting that EPCOT never carried merchandise in the Japan Pavillion.

Marc!!! What can I say? The third part of your report about TDS [Tokyo DisneySea] was the BEST so far!!! Thank you very much for the time and effort you are putting in to satiate us rabid, TRUE Disney fans!!! ;) I cannot believe they are this far along! The thematic touches are thrilling-I cannot wait to see them! ... Reading your reports had me foaming at the mouth for TDS!!!!! Thanks in advance and kind regards

TDl is perfect and that's how i like it. The problem with DL,WDW, and DLP is that they have become unperfect like the outside world. Too much trash, rude CM's, if i wanted that i wouldn't spend the money to go there, as you can get that anywhere!! Love your reports, keep them coming!!

Thanks Marc! I almost thought that everybody had forgotten about my beautiful TDS what with all of the hoopla surrounding that pathetic and bright carnival in Anaheim!!!

I am very happy that you have added Marc to LP. From his posts on the message boards and his own site, I find his takes to be very fair and interesting.

Marc Borrelli's Tokyo DisneySea Construction Updates have also generated some feedback:

As always GREAT job. Some of us will never get around the world to see the other Disney Parks much less see how they were or are built. I have always enjoyed studying how they build the parks and these pictures show alot about how things are done. ... Thanks for all the hard work in getting the photos

Drool... Drool... DisneySea is gonna ROCK!

Rebekah's Forever Magical on Disney Parks in the Rain brought back many readers' memories:

Disneyland is my absolute favorite place to go when it rains! Having the park all to ourselves is the best!! This month, we haven't been able to go that much for various reasons and I feel as if I missed out on "our little secret" big time!! Thanks for the great article.

I enjoyed this column. Marilyn and I went to DL on our Honeymoon, Jan.1961. It rained all day (her first trip there. mine was Oct. 1955) This year we went on our 40th anniversary, Jan 24th. It rained even harder than the first time. Like you, we prefer sunshine but can enjoy the park in the rain. Thanks for the reminder of how good it is always.

Hello.. *sighs* I'm a displaced annual passholder recently deported to Wisconsin. I loved your personal accounts and pictures of the happy place. Just wanted to say thanks, and any more of your wonderful writing would be read eagerly. How I Soooo miss a rainy day, sipping that wonderful Main St. Bakery Gourmet Coffe, Disneyland blend..*ooh!* can you buy the beans there?* *sigh* Thanks again, keep the Magic...

My father has often told me about the time in mid-70's when he and his theater students went to Disneyland in December. It poured rain the entire day and it seemed like the only other people in the park besides them was the University of Michigan football team who were in town for the Rose Bowl. Every ride, resteraunt and store they went into, the CM's were so happy to see someone, they were treated like royalty. Whenever they ran across the football team, they carried on like long lost friends. He has often said it was the best day he ever spent at Disneyland. Your story reminded me of that.
