Well its been a while since I’ve been around so lets get this edition of the Buzz started so I should tell you what I have been up to. The Walt Disney Company held its annual shareholder meeting in Denver, Colorado. Luckily, for the company there was inclement wheater which stopped a coalition from trying to bring about a regime change. I was embedded in the shareholder forces caught in a snow storm. The forces are losing the propaganga war, but they are continuing to fight their fight.

Meanwhile, our nation’s troops are being heroes on the real front lines, and I want to extend my deepest thanks to those that serve our country. On a more superficial level, many are wondering how the war will affect the Company. In particular, many are focused on how attendance at the parks will be affected. An obvious attendance trend caused by the war was the huge rise of teenage girls visiting the Disneyland Resort. In fact, the increase is so dramatic Disneyland hosted a cheerleading competition to cater to the growing demographic. The change in the guest demographic has also caused a change in the cast member demographic. Cast members can be heard discussing things that cast members have not been known to discuss in the past including sports, cars, and even girls.

ABC has filled the holes in its schedule, caused by underperforming shows, with war coverage. During this tumultuous times, America needs another 24 hour news network, and I’m glad ABC will fill that need.

We all know that Disney has been making movies based on Disneyland attractions. The Pirates of Carribean and The Haunted Mansion will be coming this latter this year. Currently in release is a picture about the folklore surrounding a former Disneyland attraction. Most of us know the story about how the wrecking ball bounced back as it tried to destroy the House of the Future. Unlike the Country Bear film, Bringing Down the House was the number the number one movie three weeks in a row. Based upon the success of that film Disney has greenlit filming of The Court Inside the Mountain and The Unfinished Spire.

Bringing Down the House star, and former Disneyland cast member Steve Martin continued his relationship with Disney last month by hosting the Oscars. ABC did air the 75 th Annual Academy Awards telecast. In order to tone down the glitz and glamour it was not called “The Diamond Jubilee�? but was instead “The Crystal Jubilee�?, of course the crystal was provided by Arribas Bros.

Doobie and I went to go see Piglet’s Big Movie at Downtown Disney. We were a little surprised when we saw the price. $9.00! Isn’t that a lot to see a movie that cost $29.95 to make. And G rated, how could any film that features Carly Simon larger than life be considered suitable for all audiences?

Here is a game to play at your next Disney themed party. It’s called Name Their Title. Pick a Disney Executive and see if they can name their title. I suggest using Walt Disney Imagineering titles for they tend to be long. There are at least 50 Vice Presidents to choose from in Glendale, so start playing. Can you name Marty Sklar’s title? Look for the answer next time.

Here's a question I have been thinking about. The saying goes, “March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb�?. What kind of lion does March come in as? Is it a strong powerful lion like Mufasa, or a sheepish lion like Lambert? And if the lion is Lambert, isn’t March going in and out like the same animal? Was Lambert, the Sheepish Lion released as a way to improve efficiency by only having one animal be necessary to fuffil the old saying? This is what keeps me up at night

As your probably all know this is April Fool’s Day and instead of trying to pull a joke on all of you, I thought I would share some of the April Fool’s jokes created by Disney employees throughout the years:

1. Changing the name of DCA on all the park maps to Dirt Cheap Attractions
2. Ariel melting the ice at Disney on Ice so she could be part of their world.
3. Having Marty Sklar perform the role of the Genie in Disney’s Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular
4. Light Magic
