The latest at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Welcome to another edition of The Report. It's been a couple of weeks, so lets get right to it!

Disneyland

A poster on Utilidors.com has the goods on a new Disneyland Tour, Mysteries, Myths and Legends, which will tell of the ghost stories of some of the more out of the places at Disneyland and DCA. The 2.5 hour tour will include three attractions. The tour will be seasonal only starting on October 4 and running for six weeks. Reservations start being accepted on September 4th at 714-781-4400.

In the last Report we reported Petals at Downtown Disney had closed. It didn't take long to find a replacement. Club Libby Lu is on its way. If you've never heard it, you must checkout the website. Between this new location and Build-a-Bear, the giggle volume at DTD may be about to go up.

The always reliable ScreamScape.com has Disneyland sub lagoon rumors. I don't think any area of the Resort gets more rumors than this one. And for the most part, they don't pan out. But they're fun to read and you never know.

Now through Septmeber 30th guests who see The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement can benefit when they visit Disneyland. Just present your ticket stub when buying your one day ticket and you'll receive five Disney Dollars, a mini movie poster from the film and a merchandise discount voucher good for 10% off a $50 minimum purchase of 20% off a $100 minimum purchase.

And finally, also from Princess Diaries, The Disneyland Hotel has created a Princess Diaries Suite that can be booked for your little princess. Click here for all the details and a picture. I have to be honest - I'd love to stay there!

Donald Duck collectors will want to attend the Feisty Fall Sculpture Event at World of Disney September 10-12. Click here for details.

Walt Disney World

The biggest news over the past couple of weeks was Hurricane Charley on Friday the 13th. As a new resident to Central Florida (after spending all my life in Southern California) it certainly was a very different experience. Walt Disney World seems to have gotten through without too much damage. A lot of trees went down around the property, but not much else (that I noticed anyway). Most of the parks opened the next day with Animal Kingdom and Typhoon Lagoon opening a couple of days later. The Electrical Water Pageant was reportedly damaged but it returned on August 24th.

ScreamScape.com has posted a number of WDW rumors lately. According to Lance's site, Stitch's Great Escape Annual Passholders previews could be in mid-September with an official opening on early October. He also asys the old 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea area which is now behind walls may become a play area with a princess and/or 100 acre wood theme. And finally, he says Nextel may be considering sponsorship of Spaceship Earth now that AT&T is gone. I personally hope this last one is true and the lack of a Spaceship Earth post show really detracts from Epcot.

While strolling through the Magic Kingdom about in the past few weeks I noticed they were testing a Kiddie Concierge Lounge. There was one in Adventureland and another in Tomorrowland. The hours were noon to 5:00p and inside were comfy chairs, a television showing Disney stuff, a quiet room and restrooms. And despite the name, it was open to everyone.

More details are being released for the Magic Kingdom's annual Night of Joy. This year's event will be September 9-11 and will feature Jars of Clay, FFH, Mark Shultz and many other acts. Click here for all the details.

The annual Tom Joyner Family Reunion runs September 3rd-6th. This event geared towards the African-American community features celebrities, family comedy shows, an NBA clinic, "Kid's Night Out" and much more. Click here for all the details from BlackAmericaWeb.com.

On September 2nd Epcot's newest gallery exhibit, Echoes of Africa, will open in the American Adventure. Here are the details:

Art lovers have a new reason to visit Epcot in September when the Walt Disney World theme park opens its sixth gallery, American Heritage Gallery, with an inaugural exhibition exploring the connection between historical African art objects and their influence and significance as interpreted by contemporary African-American artists. "Echoes of Africa" features pieces from the Walt Disney-Tishman African Art Collection, considered to be one of the most significant and respected collections of African art in private hands. The collection was amassed over twenty years and spans the entire region of Africa, focusing primarily on Western Africa. During the three-year run of the exhibit, 15 to 20 pieces from the Walt Disney-Tishman African Art Collection will be on display at any one time, side by side with the works of approximately one dozen contemporary artists.

Also from AllEarsNet.com is word that the October 31st Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is now sold out. But that still leaves October 1, 3, 8, 12, 14, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29 and 29. Visit Deb's site for all the details on this popular event.

The holidays are coming quick and that means the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. Deb Wills' AllEarsNet.com has a great introduction to the event and a tentative list of this year's narrators.

The Disney Villain Pin Cruise is almost upon us. I'm sure pin traders are already well aware, but if you're not, click here for the complete itinerary for the November 14-18 cruise..

Friday and Saturday nights from September 3 - October 30, AMC Pleasure Island will host Midnight shows of popular past movie titles The price for the Film Festival is $7.00 for everyone ($6.00 for cast members).  The tickets are only be available at the box office. Here's the line-up:
