A lot has happened since the last Disneyland update two weeks ago. The biggest stories are the All New Woody's Roundup and the closing of Mulan. And Christmas continues in full swing with the debut of this season's "A Christmas Fantasy Parade". All that and much more is covered in this Disneyland update. The All New Woody's Roundup show
The "All New Woody's Roundup" is themed to the Woody's Roundup show in Toy
Story 2. In the film, the Woody's Roundup is an old TV show starring Woody, Jesse,
Bullseye and the Prospector as puppets. In this version, we, the guests, play the park of
a live studio audience watching an episode of Woody's Roundup. First the stage manager
comes out and teaches us how to be a live audience including cheering when he holds up the
Applause sign. Then he turns into the narrator and the show begins. Tex Tumbleweed
provides some of the music, singing and sound effects. In the show, Jesse gets trapped in
a mine and it's up to Woody and Bullseye to save her (the Prospector does not appear).
Along the we way we hear several songs including Jesse's Yodel song, You've Got a
Friend in Me and Hey Howdy Hey. (very catchy). We also hear commercials from
the show's sponsor, Cowboy Sugar Crunchies and see a slingshot demonstration by Jesse.
Perhaps the best part of the show is the way the characters and sets appear in black and
white while they're filming the episode.
