In this big update get an early look at the 45th Anniversary Parade floats. There's also FastPass pictures, new merchandise, a ton of construction pictures and a very cute Eeyore.

Before we get to the update, we want to let you know we've updated our Disneyland hours, entertainment and rehab schedules through April. Specific showtimes haven't been put in yet but you will be able to see which shows are scheduled for which days. Click for the January, February, March or April schedule. As of now, both the 45th Anniversary Parade "45 Years of Magic" and the new fireworks show "Believe ... There's Magic in the Stars" are scheduled to officially debut on February 18, 2000 . Disneyland parades often "soft-open" in the few days leading up the official opening, so keep your eyes open.

As mentioned a couple of months ago, starting January 30th Disneyland will become a non-smoking park except in designated areas. There has, however, been a change to one area. The new list is:

Outside the main entrance
Near Esmeralda's Cottage at the back of Big Thunder Trail
Spanish Fountain near Haunted Mansion
Upper level of Plaza Pavillion dining area
This is a new area. This was going to be near the Tomorrowland Train Station.

45 Years of Magic Parade Floats
On Monday, January 24th, Disneyland was filming a commercial on Main Street with the floats for the 45 Years of Magic Parade which is scheduled to officially debut on February 18, 2000.
Important Note: The parade does not begin until next month, everything is still subject to change. Also, these are not all the floats in the parade. In an earlier update we stated there would be a total of eight floats: a Blue Fairy, Swan Boat with Princesses, The Little Mermaid, Belle on a rose being pulled by butterflies, The Lion King with Simba being pulled by giraffes, Tarzan with Tantor and the whales from Fantasia 2000 pulling a "character cloud". But again, everything is always subject to change.
