In honor of the Happiest Homecoming on Earth, LaughingPlace.com is pleased to announce the 6th annual LP Meet - Coming Home - to be held on July 16, 2005.
Due to the fact that Disneyland's birthday weekend is a blockout for some Annual Passholders and it's uncertain just how busy the parks will be those days, we've decided to hold this year's meet at the Disneyland Hotel. The location is the Garden Room in the Bonita Tower on the eve of the birthday. A three course dinner will be served, so come hungry!
As always, everyone is invited. We are charging $25 per adult and $15 per child (3-9). All money collected goes to fund the event. LaughingPlace.com is not making any profit from this event. We also don't want anyone to skip the event because of money. If you want to go and can't afford it, let us know. There are many other LPers who are more than happy to help out other community members and we will do our best to make sure you can go.
In addition to dinner, we'll have all the regular meet activities:

Unlike past events, the amount we are charging guests for the event will not cover the cost we are paying to the Disneyland Hotel. As a result, for the first time we have two meet sponsors whose generous donations are helping fund the event. In addition, we are offering meet merchandise to help offset the cost. Remember - it is our sponsors and the merchandise that are helping make this year's meet possible.

How do I buy tickets?
There are three ways to buy tickets:
- Buy them at The LaughingPlace Store (This is the preferred method. If it makes no difference to, please use this method)
- Send a PayPal to [email protected]
- Mail a check or money order to LaughingPlace.com, 52 Riley Road #101, Celebration, FL 34747
Regardless of the method chosen, make sure you include the number of tickets purchased and your mailing address. There is no sales tax or shipping charge. Note: Tickets cannot be purchased at the event. If you need a ticket at the last minute, email [email protected] to make arrangements.

How much does it cost?
Tickets are is $25 per adult or $15 per child (3-9). In addition, t-shirts are
$17.50 and the pin set is $14.
Do I need to order tickets by a certain date?
Yes, please order your tickets no later than June 30th. That will give us enough
time to give Disney a final count and get the tickets mailed to you. However, if
you need tickets after that date, that can probably be accommodated. Just
contact us as soon as possible.
Do I need to order merchandise by a certain date?
Because we are only ordering the t-shirts shirts we need, we do need
those orders in as soon as possible. When that cut-off date is known, we'll
announce it. But it will be fairly soon, so please get those orders in quickly.
Pins can be ordered until the edition runs out.
Will there be assigned seating
We are still working out the details for seating, but chances are it will be
pre-assigned. We anticipate guests will be able to sign-up for a table within
the next couple of weeks. The order of sign-up will be based on when you ordered
your tickets.
Do I have to go to the meet to purchase merchandise?
Of course not! We'd love it if you purchased a shirt or pin, even if you're not
going. You can help support the meet and show it off on your next trip to the
park. They'll also arrive in plenty of time for the mini-meets, so even if you
can't make it to the big meet, you can still sport your meet gear.
If I can't make it, can I get a refund?
If you know that you're going to be unable to make the event, please contact us
by July 9th. This will give us time to adjust our final count to Disney. If you
don't get a refund prior to the event but end up not showing, we unfortunately
cannot grant a refund.
What if I want to go but really can't afford it?
We want everyone who wants to be able to go to the meet to go. If you can't
afford to go but really want to go, send an email to me at
[email protected] and we
will do our best to make sure you can go.
Will I receive a ticket?
Yes, tickets will be mailed out prior to the event and must be brought to the
event.
What about buttons?
All attendees will receive an event button at the event. We are also offering
free personalized standard LaughingPlace.com buttons (not event specific) for
the asking. However, because we've changed our logo in the past year, there will
be new personalized buttons. So even if you already have, you'll want to get a
new one. If you would like a personalized button, indicate it on your order
form. You can have either your screen name, your real first name or both. You
may get more than one button for each ticket, however, buttons must be picked up
at the event. We cannot mail them out.
I really want to help out in some way with the event. How can I?
If you're interested, send an email to
[email protected] and we'll add you to our volunteer list. Please let
us know your availability on the day of the meet in case we need help with
setup. Also let us know if there's a particular area you think you'd like to
help out with (either leading up to or the day of the event)
One other way you can help: The whole reason for these meets is the LaughingPlace.com community that has been built. As a community, we try to help each other which is why we want everyone to come to the meet, even if they can't afford the cost. If you'd like to contribute more than $25 so others can come, send an email to [email protected].
