That is what makes Bob Gurr so unique and inspires me to share a bit of my thoughts about him with you all. He’s a modern-day "Renaissance man," always keeping himself up-to-date on the latest technologies and methods of entertainment. He’s a complicated man with a very simple, friendly attitude. When he talks to you, you can just about see the wheels turning behind his razor-sharp eyes. He’s the real deal, folks; a gen-u-ine industry legend, hero and all-around nice guy. Bob is a rare glimpse of the past that we long so much to know about and is a virtual master of today’s magic.

Did I mention the kind of shape Bob is in? Without butting too much into his private life, I will tell you that Mr. Gurr mountain bikes, jet skis and hikes more than I ever have or ever will in my entire life! I kid with him and tell him he should be a contender on Survivor 3. Heck, he’d have a built-in audience of millions immediately cheering him on! I don’t think he’s into that, but I have to say that if he were, my money would be on him walking out of the Amazon or Africa (wherever it’s going to be next time) with a suitcase full of money! Never mind the free SUV, however. Bob has his own large "camper" that he travels the country in. And yes, he designed and built it himself!

It’s my personal and professional pleasure to be working at the moment with Bob, and I am thrilled that he contributes to LaughingPlace.com on a regular basis. I’ve seen his list of articles yet to be written and read by you all; it’s impressive, and you’re in for quite a ride!

That’s my bit for the month. Hopefully, I’ve pulled it off without sounding too… well, you know. I just wanted to share my thoughts with you as I find myself working with such a dynamic and fun individual; someone that literally shaped my Disneyland experiences and continues to engineer the world I write about. It’s inspiration in the most true sense of the word.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to catch up on some e-mail; someone is answering my questions faster than I can send them!
