Guest Column: Grad Nite 2002

Never miss a chance to get a great hat!
There were of course some stores open to sell a Grad Nite item or two.Along with the nifty Graduation accessory above there were shirts, sweatshirts, pens, plush, and picture frames.Needless to say Disney made a coin or two on these low priced (yes I'm lying) souvenirs.
This is not the place to be
While we did get to party with the kids most of the Nite, all chaperones did have to pull a shift in the Chaperone Headquarters. This is where you tried to stay awake or prayed that you weren't called to the check-in desk. Seniors who got past the drug dogs are taken to the Chaperone Headquarters so you can say goodbye to them before they are arrested. Our Seniors were thinking this year, and we didn't have to visit the desk.
Grad Nite's always end the same way
The guys above at least found a spot on the ground.I fell asleep when I leaned my head on a light pole.Somehow we got everyone to the buses before we passed out and woke up in Bakersfield.Grad Nite's seem to get more exhausting as I age, but its still a great time.
I'm in DISNEYLAND how can it not be a GREAT time?
HAVE A DISNEY DAY!
Discuss It!
