The Fabulous Disney Babe

Of the hundred or so emails I've received about my move here, this one below is my sentimental favorite.   (Did you see the Hippie Pooh Beanie at disneystore.com?  I don't usually do Beanies, but I really like that one.)

"...Michelle my dear,

... It looks like you'll have more space, more readers, and above all more freedom to do your thing. YAY! I hope the business arrangements, if any, are more to your liking as well.

In all of my many years on the internet, and my few years prowling around the Disney internet world, I have yet to see another person with more info, more connections, and more panache than you. You have created a style and a persona that can be appreciated by people from ALL walks of life, and you present a balanced perspective rarely seen in the agenda laden world of internet talking heads (or should that be talking keyboards?). You call 'em like you see 'em, and do it with humor and class. And sheer force of will!   I wish you the best of luck!!!

Now, you wanted oddball questions for your column. Here's one:

I've wanted a fish from the Sub Lagoon since I was 3. I've heard a few have been sold off, I've heard some are (or were) sitting out in the open rotting backstage, I've heard (and seen) that at least some of them are still bobbing around the Lagoon on their strings. How do I get my hands on one? I have the just the spot for one on my mantle next to my battered semi-audioanimatronic squirrel.

The Disney Deadhead..."

I'd check out Ebay. I'll ask around; I don't know if Property Control is in charge of Fantasy Fish. If you find out first, get one for me, too. I'll hang it on my mantel like a trophy fish and wire it to play the Peoplemover music anytime someone comes near.

Next week: The first of my monthly Interview series.
