'Twas the Week Before Christmas
First is "The Journal
Of Milo Thatch"
penned by Preston J. Whitmore
so it says (a joke, natch.)
The drawings and notes
make it read as if real,
giving this "journal"
an authentic feel.
But my favorite of favorites
of this little pair
is so tongue in cheek
that it wouldnt be fair
to give away all
of its insider jokes.
Suffice it to say
it "names" Disney folks
who were deeply involved
in Atlantis the movie,
"Subterranean Tours"
sure do sound groovy!
This next book is little,
as if made for an elf.
I like little books,
being shorter myself.
"The Little Big Book
of Disney", I find,
is perfect for those
who must keep space in mind.
Hearing, "Theres no more
room!
"I cant fit one more book!"?
Well, theyll eat their words
once they give this a look.
Chocked full of facts
and pictures so pretty,
if you dont get yourself one
it would be a pity.
Number three on my list
(out of print - dont blame me!)
is a pip. Wonder "why?"
Read on, and youll see.
Its the text of the poem
On which MULAN was based
and in true Chinese fashion
it is sweetly encased
In red cloth slip cover
and then it unfolds!
The artwork inside
is a joy to behold.
