Toon Talk: The Incredibles DVD

In this ‘Toon Talk’ feature, I’ll briefly highlight a recommended film or DVD, outside of the Disney universe, of similar interest to the main subject. Two of the best super-hero films ever made also featured a dysfunctional family of sorts: X-Men (2000) and X2: X-Men United (2003, both available on DVDs from Fox Home Entertainment). Both directed by The Usual Suspect’s Bryan Singer, the two films starred the most popular super group in comic book history, the uncanny X-Men, a group of mutant outcast heroes intent on saving the world that despises and fears them. Singer, along with such renowned actors as Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman (in his break-out role as the brooding hell raiser Wolverine), brought the Marvel Comic characters to the big screen with class and humor in addition to the requisite adventures. |
Coming Soon in Toon Talk:
