Then guests reach the Treehouse Grounds, they can make discoveries of their own in three imaginative interactive areas. Jane stores Scientific Equipment in the first area, which includes a telescope, test tubes, and the period astrolabe she uses to calculate the position of the planets. A magic lantern projects a sequence of Jane's sketches that show Tarzan running like a cheetah through the jungle. The speed of the projector make the sketches come to life, like film animation, Visitors can play the pictures forward and backward to study how Tarzan runs. Enhancing this running effect are the energetic rhythms of the "Swisskapolka" which plays on a vintage gramophone.

In the outdoor kitchen, guests can try their hands at various items that Jane has ingeniously adapted for use in this one-of-a-kind jungle setting. Here, visitors can play musical pots and pans and use the stove bellows to fan the fire, which causes the pans to percolate. Behind the kitchen, visitors can test the "Tarzan Yell-a-phone" that converts their voice into an animal call, In an area dedicated to Wildlife Wonders, visitors pull jungle vines to receive an animal call response. If they reach inside hollow tree stumps, they can try to identify the kind of creature that lives inside. Another challenge awaits guests as they try to discover all of the insects that are cleverly concealed in the foliage. Elsewhere, butterflies, flowers, strange insects, and exotic plants are displayed in pots and bamboo cages, where Jane identifies and catalogs them On special days, jungle wildlife staffers bring lizards, snakes and other animals to this area so that visitors can see and touch some of the world's most interesting inhabitants.

As guests exit the Treehouse Grounds, they glimpse a baby elephant as he drinks from a nearby stream. In a clearing just outside the treehouse, Jane, Terk and other favorite Tarzan characters visit with guests several times a day and happily pose for pictures. Lucky passersby may also hear Tarzan's distinctive jungle call resonating through the treetop as the "Lord of the Apes" returns to his jungle home.
