The Panel Discussion

At 7:00 p.m. the doors to the Fantasyland Theater were opened and guests filed in to grab their seats for the panel discussion. Pirates of the Caribbean cookies, punch and coffee were available. Guests mingled about meeting and greeting each other and some of the VIPs in attendance.

 

 

 

Cast Member Maynard was a VIP at the event
because he voiced the talking Jolly Roger behind him.
The hat he's wearing was given to everyone.

An old man sits in his rocking chair enjoying long smooth puffs on a corncob pipe. The songs of crickets and other critters fill the air. Suddenly a lightning bolt flashes and thunder roars. The man leaps up and runs across the stage.

The "Skull and Crossblades" suspended high above the stage comes to life, "Psst! Avast there! It be too late to alter course, Mateys. And there be plunderin' pirates lurking in ev’ry cove, waiting to board. Set closer together and keep your ruddy hands inboard. That be the best way to repel boarders. And mark well me words, Matey. Dead men, tell no tales." (foreboding laughter)

"Ye come seeking adventure and salty old pirates, eh? Sure you’ve come to the proper place. But keep a weather-eye open, Mates. And hold on tight, with both hands if you please. There be squalls ahead. And Davey Jones waiting for them what don’t obey!"
