Lasseter continues: That small theme park that Cynthia was talking about is called Flik’s Fun Fair and it was designed and built by our good friend and brilliant inventor, Flik. Now um..o.k, Cynthia - I gotta apologize. You’re doing the Tower of Terror thingy and you found this thing. It’s my fault. It’s my fault. You see when we were filming A Bug’s Life I wanted the best bugs I could get to act in it. It was Flik and his friends, right. I thought No problem, right. Well the fact is they had a pretty tough agent. He was really little but man did he have a bite. He agreed to do the movie only if we give them a little plot of land here at Disney’s California Adventure. Now, I didn’t ask anybody’s permission, I just said yes because they’re insects. I mean, how big of a piece of land can you have? So I’m sorry. (he hides)

Cynthia Harriss: Well John I can only say, though, actually we’re thrilled, because…

John sighs with relief.

Harriss continues: Because Flik’s Fun Fair is the perfect addition to Disney's California Adventure. In fact, we thought it was such a great idea we expanded it to be "a bug’s land". What "a bug’s land" is all about is there are three areas. The first is Bountiful Valley Farm and that’s where all of you can see a brand new stage show we have called the Ugly Bug Ball where kids of all ages get a chance to learn the newest insect dances from Flik and Atta and of course it's one of our favorite attractions, It’s Tough to be A Bug and of course Flik’s Fun Fair. And since you’re the bug expert and actually personal good friends with the person who created Flik’s Fun Fair, maybe you could tell us a little bit about what we’ll see.

John Lasseter: I’d be happy to Cynthia. It's a wonderful world where we humans can experience life from a bug’s point of view. Now you can soar through the air on these really cool kind of whimsical hot air balloons that are made out of leaves. It's called Flik’s Flyers. You can hop aboard a lady bug and dance and spin to Francis’ favorite boogie-woogie tunes at Francis’ Ladybug Boogie. Now Heimlich’s Chew Chew Train is my favorite. It lets us ride on the back of everyone’s favorite caterpillar as he crawls along a miniature railroad track looking for “tasty treats.? We can ride and bump on the crazy little buggy beneath the big top of PT Flea Circus tent on Tuck and Roll's Drive 'Em Buggies. It's fantastic! And last but not least is in Princess Dot’s Puddle Park you can splish and splash and dance your way around these playful sprays from a gigantic garden hose. It’s amazing. Wait ‘til you see it!

Cynthia Harriss: Well it sounds wonderful and I know we can’t wait to get in there. But I wanted to say I think this truly is in keeping with Walt’s vision. It is going to be one of the places that will, in fact, truly transport us to one of those places that’s only in our imagination.

So I have to say kids are you ready to go in? (YAY!) Well, alright, but before we do that let’s meet the creator of Flik’s Fun Fair and the star of a bug’s life boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen, our very own Flik.

Flik heads to the front of the stage and greets the boys and girls.

John Lasseter: You’re the ant, baby! You’re the ant! Flik we are really excited about the fun fair, your fun fair. Its fantastic but I’m curious, o.k.. what originally inspired you to do it?

Flik: It’s the best way I could imagine to make you all feel like bugs.

Cynthia Harriss: Well, we think it really turned it beautifully, Flik. So let’s open up this land. Are we ready? Yeah, and invite everybody. Everybody ready! Well then take it Matt and Mattie Morphosis….

Music starts and the pair begin dancing but John Lasseter interrupts

John Lasseter: Wait, wait, stop the music. I’m sorry. Cynthia, there’s one more thing. In that agreement I told you we made with um…them. There was a little bit of fine print and when you’re dealing with ants the fine print is really tiny. Anyway you see they wanted to be sure that we humans really experience things from their point of view so they’ve created a special bug oath to help put everybody in the right frame of mind. Now according to the agreement I made with Flik, and I’m sorry, everyone must repeat the bug oath and I mean everyone, you guys behind the cameras, you’ve got to do it, too, before you can enter "a bug’s land". But we’re going to need to some help. We need someone to lead us in the oath. Anybody want to help? But it needs to be someone who is very familiar with bugs. Matt and Mattie can you help us find someone.

Suddenly an individual jumps up out of the crowd, Me! Me! Pick me! They lead him up the stairs.
