The Captain Jack Sparrow Big Fig, at $150.00 is quite cool. The pose is nearly demented and actor Johnny Depp, allowed his face to be digitally scanned to ensure that this piece and other depictions of his character be as accurate as possible. The figure is removable from its wooden base and features a removable sword. The base also features and engraved brass plaque – all that’s needed is vicious undead Capuchin monkey. He’s hand painted, cast resin and is 22 inches tall and the base is 9½ inches in diameter. He comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Another of the Disneyshopping.com Pirates pieces on display was this Allison Lefcourt LE 882 lithograph, “Captain Jack?, for $295.00. Allison has a huge following – myself included – and always produces an image of quintessential character. The colors are almost as bold as is Captain Jack himself, Allison uses a specific lithographic process – she uses a planographic press process by which the paper is printed an prints pulled from a chemically sensitized acid-etched stone so the ink adheres only to her design and not to other areas. An expensive and technically pain-staking process, it produces a dimensionality that few other printing processes can match. The print is double-matt framed behind Plexiglas. It measures 32¼ inches square and is hand signed and numbered by the artist. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

There were a couple more of Disneyshopping.com’s Alice in Wonderland Collection pieces to take a look at – the HK box titled Don't Mind if I Do at $99.95, is cute and quite large for a usual HK box. Lift the roof and find a plethora of pills all to tempt Alice to try them. The box is a LE of 500 and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Marie Osmond’s Curtsey to the Queen Alice doll comes with a LE Lithograph for $149.95. Commemorating the film’s 55th Anniversary, Marie has created her first-ever standing, porcelain doll exclusively for Disney. The doll, by no means a toy, was sculpted by artists Sonja Bryer and Karen Scott. She’s 16½ inches tall with stand and she comes with a framed lithograph of Alice and the Queen of Hearts from the film. Marie Osmond doll collectors will recognize her signature hallmark and Certificate of Authenticity. Each doll is individually hand-numbered and is a Limited Edition of 500.

Kevin, Jody and I share a love for the truly obscure characters – and their designs for this set has one of my all-time favorites – the oyster! This Alice in Wonderland Pewter Miniatures 5-piece Set, at $69.95 is a must have for any fan of the film – wonderfully detailed and almost as off-beat as the film. We have Alice, the Caterpillar, the Walrus and the Carpenter, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum and the fabulously fluorescent Cheshire Cat. The set comes in a custom box, it’s a LE of 500 and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
