Talk about obscure – the
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit Collection array – release date to be
determined – certainly fits the bill. The first two Oswald pieces to be produced
in the US in 80 years got a lot of attention. Jody’s sculpt of the Oswald The
Lucky Rabbit Big Fig at $150.00 is really cute as is his design for the LE
500 Oswald The Lucky Rabbit Suede Plush at $59.95. Now that the company
owns him again, let’s play with him!

One more look at the
center panel of the LE 1000, Mary Poppins Tapestry shows clearly the care
taken with the product line – when art and artist combine – wonderful things
come into our lives.

And speaking of
wonderful things – Jody’s Full-sized Jack Skellington Replica, at $599.00, is
the single most fabulous, amazing, inventive, spectacular, brilliant,
innovative, – and any other word on the wheel of adjectives that you’d care to
imagine – I’ve ever seen in all the years I’ve been watching the global
Disneyana marketplace – I nearly fell over when I saw him – and I kept going
back to take a closer look. He’s fully articulated and – with the ball and
socket and locking joints Jody used – can assume nearly any pose. He’s
absolutely marvelous. Completely Cool! He was the only piece of merchandise at
the entire Show & Sale that was an instant photo-op.

He’s so cool – he needs
two shots. The following weekend, he went a bit further south to ComicCon ’06 in
San Diego and was a Huge HIT with the Nightmare Before Christmas fans.
Tim Burton himself has pre-ordered one. He’s on sale September 29th.
