Walt Disney Records has released the highly anticipated sountrack for TRON: Legacy, composed and produced by Grammy Award-winning French duo Daft Punk. The duo assembled a symphony of one hundred world class musicians in London and recorded the orchestra at AIR Lyndhurst Studios, Britain’s premier scoring facility. Among the album’s liner notes are director Joseph Kosinski memories of his first meeting with Daft Punk in November 2007: ” I sat down not knowing what to expect, and I was immediately struck by their deep knowledge and love of the film and particularly the sanctity in which they held Steven Lisberger’s TRON. It quickly became clear to me that this had the potential to be an exciting collaboration…”
The TRON: Legacy cd features 22 tracks and has the appearance of a light disc. The CD booklet includes liner notes by TRON: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski and TRON director Steven Lisberger along with album credits and several images from the upcoming film. Placing the cd into a computer offers access to various movie trailers, image gallery and other downloads.
