Trailer for “Fear Itself”
In a press conference today at Midtown Comics Mickey-Mouse clad Marvel Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada unveiled the upcoming 7-issue event series “Fear Itself” by Matt Fraction, Stuart Immonen, Wayne Von Grawbadger and Laura Martin.
Joe Q. reminded the assembled audience that “From World War 2 to Apollo 11 to September 11th the events that shaped our world have shaped the Marvel Universe…we are at our best when we have taken stock of the world we live, the era that we are a part of and said something about it…our [Marvel] heroes represent the very best of us..as they struggle to triumph against the very worst.” According to writer Matt Fraction the “Fear Itself” series addresses the current environment of fear and anxiousness as exhibited by the personal searches that are now a part of air travel.
According to a USA Today report the press conference live stream was watched by 5,000 viewers.
