Disney’s The Lion King set a new box office record at Broadway’s Minskoff Theatre by grossing $1,993,370 – the show’s highest grossing week to date – during the sold-out eight-performance New Year’s holiday week of December 27, 2010 – January 2, 2011.
The previous Minskoff record was held by THE LION KING, with a gross of $1,870,145 (set Thanksgiving holiday week ending 11/28/2010).
